Aerospace Anodizing Operations Manager (NADCAP)
About the Role
Step into a hands-on leadership role building and running our anodizing department. You’ll oversee the full lifecycle of anodize work—from prep to final inspection—while shaping team practices, safeguarding bath chemistry, and aligning output with customer and company standards.
A Day in the Life
Your day begins on the shop floor: verifying bath chemistry, walking the line to review prep, cleaning, and fixturing, and setting priorities with the team. You’ll assign work, confirm training and PPE, and ensure environmental and safety protocols are followed. As production moves, you monitor coating quality and dimensional accuracy, approve or rework parts, and coordinate with maintenance for equipment care. You’ll collaborate with production planning, procurement, and QA to hit schedules, then close the day by updating batch and quality logs, tracking chemical usage and throughput, and capturing improvements to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and elevate finish quality.
What You’ll Own
- Daily anodizing operations: prep, chemical baths, finishing, cleaning, and inspection.
- Team leadership: task assignment, shift scheduling, training, and safety/environmental enforcement.
- Bath and equipment integrity: chemistry monitoring, routine maintenance, and service coordination.
- Quality control: standards implementation, part inspection (coating, dimensions, finish), reject/rework decisions.
- Regulatory compliance: chemical handling, waste disposal, PPE, and environmental controls.
- Cross-functional coordination with procurement, production planning, and QA to meet customer requirements.
- Production recordkeeping: batch logs, quality reports, maintenance logs, chemical usage, throughput, reject rates.
- Continuous improvement to increase efficiency, lower material/waste costs, and enhance quality.

- After 1 year: 401K, PTO.
