Electroplating Engineer, Process Engineer

This is an experienced professional job in engineering and product line support charged with the responsibility for leading plater improvements and technical support. Front line support for equipment improvements in throughput, quality, efficiency, and plater uptime. This person will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data based on downtime and reasons for downtime. Recommends equipment upgrades, and process modifications. This position reports to the Plant Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze downtime data in order to improve plater uptime
• Make improvement recommendations based on data collected
• Provide technical support to production by recommending process parameters to achieve maximum throughput
• Facilitates and coordinates all activities when implementing process improvements
• Develops and maintains operating procedures to be used by the plater operators
• Ensures that all critical spare parts inventory is maintained
• Maintain and improve the electrowinning process by maintaining accurate log of process times and bath analysis
• Maintain work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition
• Provide support to the equipment and employees as needed
• Establish and maintain an environment that promotes teamwork

Required Qualifications

• Be a problem solver; implement improvements for the plating process
• Previous experience in electroplating
• Previous experience in a production environment
• Previous experience in project management
• Good time management and proven multi-tasking skills
• Ability to be self-sufficient and self-motivated
• Demonstrates initiative, sense of urgency and is self-motivated when implementing improvements

• Previous experience in managing a team of people

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet conditions, extreme heat, fumes and airborne particles, toxic and caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move throughout the facility including on uneven terrain. Duties also require moving items up to 50lbs.
