Job Brief:

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Heavy Duty Wrecker Operator to join our team. The primary role includes providing roadside assistance and recovery services for large vehicles, towing them to repair shops or designated locations. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy-duty wreckers and a strong commitment to safety and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to breakdowns, accidents, and recovery calls promptly and safely.
• Operate heavy-duty wreckers and flatbeds to transport vehicles and equipment.
• Explain towing process and fees to customers in a professional manner.
• Attach and lift vehicles using proper tools and techniques.
• Complete paperwork accurately and report incidents or unsafe conditions to dispatch.
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of tow trucks.
• Follow all traffic laws and DOT regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service under high-stress situations.

Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 2 years operating heavy-duty wreckers .
• License: Valid CDL Class A with a clean driving record.
• Good physical strength and agility.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred:

• WreckMaster or TRAA certification.
• Mechanical aptitude for minor roadside repairs.
