Registered Nurse (RN)
**Core Responsibilities:**
- Coordinate patient care by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to optimize clinical outcomes, maintaining a focus on quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure adherence to established standards of care and practice within the Military Treatment Facility (MTF), following all relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and gather detailed health histories.
- Implement health promotion strategies, provide counseling, and deliver patient education tailored to individual needs.
- Administer medications, perform wound care, and execute various personalized interventions as clinically indicated.
- Direct and oversee the care provided by other healthcare professionals within the team.
- Assign patient care responsibilities judiciously, based on the scope of practice and skill levels of the assigned personnel.
- Recognize and respond effectively to adverse patient signs and symptoms in emergency situations. - Facilitate communication and collaboration among a diverse group of healthcare professionals to inform care plans and enhance education for patients and their families.
- Coordinate referral appointments and arrange for specialty care as warranted.
- Deliver nursing services as outlined in the Task Order (TO).
- Engage in research initiatives aimed at improving clinical practices and patient outcomes.
**Work Schedule:**
- The schedule varies based on the assigned clinic or department, with Operating Room shifts set for Monday through Friday. Shifts range from 8.5 to 12.5 hours, with start times between 5:30 AM and 11:00 PM.
- There are no weekend or holiday shifts, and no call requirements.
**Minimum Qualifications:** -
**Degree:** A minimum of an Associate's degree in nursing is required. -
**Education:** Must be a graduate of a nursing program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Graduates from an accredited state nursing program may also be considered. -
**Licensure:** Must hold a current, unrestricted RN license to practice in any U.S. state. -
**Certifications:** Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross. -
**Experience:** At least one year of post-graduation nursing experience is required, with a minimum of two years of full-time experience as an operating room RN within the last three years. -
**Security Clearance:** Candidates must be able to pass a government background check and obtain security clearance.
