Position Overview:
Emerald Edge Partners is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Team Member to support our finance, administrative, and marketing operations. This multifaceted role requires a proactive individual who is capable of managing financial data, supporting payroll and tax filings, maintaining asset records, and assisting with social media and marketing activities.
This position reports directly to:
- Mary Wilson – Partner, CFO, CHRO
- Nick Wilson – Executive IT, Technical Writing, HR, and Finance
Key Responsibilities:
Finance & Administrative Duties:
· Accounts Payable Journal Entries
o Enter and categorize vendor invoices and expenses
o Maintain accurate records in accounting software
o Support payment processing and account reconciliation
· Payroll Entry & Garnishments
o Input payroll data accurately
o Process and track employee garnishments
o Collaborate with HR and payroll systems to ensure compliance
· North Carolina Sales & Use Tax
o Prepare and file monthly NC Sales & Use Tax returns
o Ensure documentation supports reporting accuracy and audit readiness
· Asset Management (Equipment & Trucks)
o Maintain and update asset tracking logs
o Monitor maintenance schedules, insurance, registration, and depreciation
o Assist in managing equipment lifecycle documentation
Marketing & Communications:
· Social Media & Marketing Support
o Assist in planning and posting company updates, announcements, and promotions on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
o Coordinate with leadership to develop content that supports hiring, sales, and brand awareness
o Track engagement and help develop reports on reach and performance
Other Assigned Duties:
· Support special projects and cross-functional administrative tasks
· Provide backup for other accounting or administrative personnel as needed
· Assist in internal document creation and basic technical formatting tasks
· Training will begin in the office and move to a remote location eventually. The position will start 30-40 hours weekly. Hours are subject to change and set by the company.
Qualifications:
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Or relevant experience is required.
· 1–3 years of relevant experience in finance, administration, or marketing
· Familiarity with WAVE accounting software and ADP payroll systems software is beneficial.
· Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
· Strong written communication skills and basic understanding of HR or technical documentation a plus
· Experience with social media platforms and content scheduling tools a plus
· Microsoft Office Experience and/or IT experience would be optimal.
