Industrial Equipment Reliability Engineering Specialist
Your Impact
- Instill ATS’s safety-first mindset while ensuring full compliance with policies and regulations.
- Drive asset reliability and throughput by partnering with internal teams and external customers on engineered solutions.
- Translate findings into capital recommendations and ROI-backed business cases.
- Build and optimize equipment-specific maintenance plans (ESMPs) using RCM principles.
- Deploy predictive, preventive, and precision maintenance to mitigate risk pre-failure.
- Lead RCA, Bad Actor elimination, Fault Tree Analysis, and FMEA; upskill others to do the same.
- Advance Work Execution Management (WEM): identify gaps, train, and mentor for measurable improvement.
- Align ATS and customer KPIs with site leadership and track progress to target.
Qualifications
Required
- ABET-accredited engineering degree or equivalent heavy industrial experience (maintenance, reliability, or operations).
- 5+ years of reliability engineering practice.
- Master-level proficiency with predictive technologies and strong machine health monitoring skills.
- RCA expertise; demonstrated strength with RCM and FMEA.
- Ability to execute cause-and-effect diagrams, root cause failure analysis, life-cycle costing, and risk analysis.
- Vibration I and Infrared I certifications.
- Proven coaching in Work Execution Management (WEM).
- Advanced mechanical and/or electrical systems knowledge.
- Proficiency with maintenance systems and Microsoft Office; strong reporting and technical writing.
- Excellent verbal communication, facilitation, and presentation; collaborative relationship-builder.

- Hands-on with data trend analysis; vibration analysis; motor current analysis; oil analysis; lubrication and hydraulic testing; laser alignment; nondestructive testing; infrared thermography; ultrasound; acoustic reliability; Weibull analysis; Six Sigma or Lean.
- Familiarity with cGMP, NETA, EPA, and OSHA.

Factory-based work with frequent standing and walking; regular use of hands for handling and fine manipulation; reaching with hands and arms; climbing or balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; and frequent talking and hearing. Occasional sitting. Periodic lifting or moving of items exceeding 50 pounds. Regular need for close and color vision. Occasional exposure to outdoor weather and risk of electrical shock. The environment is typically very loud, with possible exposure to hazardous materials and greasy or slippery floors.
