Long Term Mathematics Substitute

Ambassador Christian School opened in August 2024. The school has a bold vision to launch ambassadors for Christ into all spheres of influence. In our first school year, 2024-2025, we enrolled 159 high school student s. Over the next few years, the school will grow to 1000 in high school and is seeking to build dynamic programs in academics, athletics, fine arts, industrial arts and service. The school is well positioned on a 29-acre campus with an 80,000 sq ft building in the growing suburbs of north Charlotte.

LONG TERN SUBSTITUTE POSITION

Start date: Monday, December 1, 2025

End date: Friday, February 30, 2026. Holiday breaks are Dec 19-Jan 5, Jan 19, Feb 13 & 16

Class Descriptions:

Probability & Statistics — High school-level probability models, sampling distributions, confidence

intervals; follow daily lesson plans and administer scheduled quizzes.

AP Statistics — Full AP curriculum pacing; administer AP-style formative assessments; prepare

students for AP exam practice during January.

College Algebra — College Preparatory Algebra including functions, polynomials, rational

expressions, and exponential/logarithmic functions.

ROLE SUMMARY

Faculty and Staff members at Ambassador Christian High School are charged with launching ambassadors for Christ into all spheres of influence. Ambassador Faculty live out a compelling relationship with Jesus Christ, which is central to daily instruction and interactions with students, parents and team members. Ambassador Faculty are not only masters of the curriculum, but they see each student as a unique individual to be known and loved. Faculty members prepare students for college or their calling and mentor students in all aspects of their academic and spiritual development.

• Understand the curriculum of a wide range of Mathematics courses (college preparatory, honors, AP, etc.)

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Mathematics or in a discipline closely related
• Advanced Degree in a related area is preferred
• Solid biblical and theological foundation and understanding
• High School teaching experience preferred
