This position will support all Quality and Food Safety activities related to maintaining DePalo Foods, SQF, USDA, Organic and other regulatory food safety standards. This role will be required to perform tasks associated with SQF, Organic, HACCP, GMPs, Quality, Food Safety and Continuous Improvement programs. In addition, this person will work with management in various QA related projects.

Responsibility or Job/Duty Description

• Performs inspection and testing activities through stages of manufacturing process to ensure that establishment standards and regulatory standards are met at all times.
• Develop, execute, enforce and monitor current company GMP, SSOP, and HACCP (USDA HACCP) guidelines.
• Review production records to ensure all paperwork is complete and accurate as production goes on and on daily basis; correct deviations in a timely manner to minimize loss and avoid non-compliance.
• Conduct and perform training activities related to food quality and food safety (i.e., HACCP, GMPs, Food Safety, Quality and Allergen, Organic requirements).
• Participate, monitor and document day-to-day all QAFS, manufacturing and sanitation activities.
• Perform direct observations on monitors and sign off on all change overs, USDA sheets, CCP and other monitoring sheets.
• Collects and review all production documents at end of shift and turn in to QA specialist for review.
• Support QA team, and other department as required and follow management instructions, and assists in projects.

List other important Critical Day to Day duties

• Maintain SQF and USDA requirements for product manufacturing and document control.
• Knowledge of food industry regulatory requirements such as HACCP, Allergen Control, Pest control, Sanitation, Food security, Good Manufacturing Practices and Genesis Database Software.
• Direct observations on production monitoring, performing daily inspections and change overs as production demands.
• Plant walks through and take appropriate actions to correct deficiencies.

Minimum Qualification, Work Experience/Knowledge Requirements/Analytical Skills/Problem Solving Skills

• SQF Trained and Certified with present knowledge – Must be able to develop and maintain and implement SQF and Regulatory certification requirements, documents and keep up of SQF and Regulatory criteria.
• HACCP and FSPCA Preventive Control Trained and Certified.
• 2+ years QAFS experience in food industry
• Knowledge of food industry regulatory requirements such as Organic Certification, HACCP, Allergen Control, Pest control, Sanitation, Food security, Good Manufacturing Practices and Genesis Database Software.
• Decision Quality: Demonstrate skill in judgment and sound decision-making.

Minimum Language Requirements:

· Excellent English communication in speaking and writing

Minimum Admin Skills

• Word, Excel, Power Point

Required experience: Quality Assurance: 2 years. (Resume is needed)
