2. Supervising and coaching junior staff to develop their professional skills.
3. Building new and existing client relationships and demonstrating knowledge of client business.
4. Reviewing tax returns, extensions, and tax planning calculations.
5. Preparing federal and state income taxes for individuals, businesses, benefit funds, real estate, and exempt organizations.
6. Managing a book of business and/or participating in marketing-related activities.
7. Ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws and regulations.
8. Collaborating with internal and external parties to manage tax audits and inquiries.
9. Identifying and mitigating tax risks and implications of various transactions.
10. Staying current on new tax laws and legislation to ensure compliance and advisory services are accurate. Qualifications Education
· Bachelor’s degree in tax, accounting, or business-related field.
· Master’s degree in tax or accounting a plus.
· CPA license or Enrolled Agent license required. Professional
· 5+ years of tax & accounting experience required.
· Prior experience managing team members required.
· Minimum 2 years supervising and training experience is required.
· Strong experience with multi-state returns is required.
· Experience with QuickBooks and tax software (CCH) preferred.
