Outside Sales Executive (First-in-Market Opportunity)
About Us
Synchrogistics is a dynamic, $100 million 3PL brokerage headquartered in Raleigh, NC. We specialize in executing reliable, customer-focused transportation solutions through strong carrier relationships, clear communication, and data-driven decision making.
Our operations team plays a critical role in keeping freight moving efficiently in a fast-paced brokerage environment. As we've grown, we've remained committed to a collaborative, team-oriented culture that values accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
About the Role
We're hiring our first Outside Sales Executive to help us break into new territory, unlock untapped markets, and shape what field sales looks like at our company moving forward.
If you're the kind of sales professional who wants more than just a quota—if you want to build, influence, and own your success—this is a rare opportunity to do exactly that.
As our first Outside Sales Executive, you'll take the lead in building new shipper relationships through a highly consultative, relationship-driven approach. You'll operate with autonomy, backed by a strong internal team, and play a key role in defining how we win in the field.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, embraces the challenge of creating new opportunities, and has the competitive spirit to do what it takes to win in the market.
What You'll Do
Own and grow your territory:
- Prospect, identify, and close new shipper accounts across your assigned market (Greensboro to Goldsboro, NC)
- Develop and execute a strategic territory plan targeting high-value industries and lanes
- Meet with logistics decision-makers both in-person and virtually to build relationships and win business
- Present tailored logistics solutions that solve real customer challenges
- Negotiate pricing and contracts aligned with company goals
Build lasting customer relationships
- Establish trust through consistent communication, responsiveness, and follow-through
- Partner cross-functionally with operations to ensure smooth onboarding and execution
- Grow existing accounts by expanding service offerings (LTL, intermodal, flatbed, etc.)
Manage pipeline and reporting:
- Manage and track your pipeline in Salesforce CRM
- Maintain strong pipeline health (roughly 3x quota coverage)
- Provide accurate forecasts and actionable market feedback
Who You Are
- A self-starter who thrives in a field-based, autonomous role
- Highly motivated with a strong desire to win and grow your earnings
- Resilient—you handle rejection well and stay focused on the long game
- Skilled at building authentic, long-term relationships
- Naturally curious with a consultative sales mindset
What You Bring
- Proven success in B2B sales (logistics, transportation, or supply chain experience is a plus)
- Strong prospecting, closing, and negotiation skills
- Experience managing a sales pipeline and using CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)
- Ability to travel within your territory (~2 days/week)
- High level of organization, accountability, and follow-through
- High school diploma or GED required (degree preferred)
Our Values
- Figure It Out. Make It Happen.
- Results Matter.
- Passion & Grit.
- Integrity.
- Teamwork.
What We Offer
- Competitive base salary + uncapped commission potential
- Opportunity to grow your career as the company scales (including future leadership paths)
- A collaborative, high-performing team environment
- Comprehensive benefits package including:
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Life and disability coverage
- Optional benefits (pet insurance, legal, identity theft, and more)
- 401(k) with company match
- 15 days PTO + 9 paid holidays
Why This Role
This is a unique opportunity to step into a high-growth environment and play a foundational role in shaping something new, with uncapped earning potential.
If you're hungry, resilient, and ready to build, not just sell, we'd love to meet you.
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time.
