Physician Assistant - Family & Urgent Care
We are seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Physician Assistant to join a patient-centered outpatient care team in Monroe, North Carolina. This full-time clinical role is ideal for an advanced practice provider who enjoys working in a busy medical environment while maintaining a strong focus on quality patient outcomes and education.
The Physician Assistant will evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions under physician supervision. This position involves evidence-based treatment planning, diagnostic interpretation, and patient counseling while collaborating with physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical staff to ensure seamless care delivery in Monroe, North Carolina.
You will assist in managing patient care across urgent and routine outpatient visits while maintaining accurate medical records and supporting efficient clinical workflow in a high-volume setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient examinations and develop treatment plans for individuals of all ages under physician oversight.
- Order, review, and act on diagnostic tests including laboratory studies and imaging such as X-rays or CT scans when clinically indicated.
- Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions within North Carolina state practice regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical staff to optimize patient flow and care coordination in Monroe, North Carolina.
- Maintain detailed, compliant, and timely documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Provide patient education on preventive medicine, wellness strategies, and chronic disease management.
- Deliver high-quality clinical care in both urgent care and outpatient medical scenarios.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted North Carolina Physician Assistant license or eligibility for licensure.
- Current NCCPA certification as a PA-C is required.
- Experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Urgent Care is strongly preferred.
- Strong diagnostic reasoning and clinical judgment skills.
- Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Team-oriented professional capable of collaborating with multidisciplinary staff in Monroe, North Carolina.
