Help keep large-scale facilities comfortable, safe, and efficient. As a Commercial HVAC Controls & Refrigeration Specialist, your expertise will support manufacturing, distribution, and corporate spaces for the world’s largest home furnishings manufacturer.

Your Mission

• Own end-to-end HVACR service: installation, diagnostics, repair, and commissioning of rooftop units, air handlers, chillers, boilers, and air distribution systems to meet plans and codes.
• Diagnose and correct mechanical/electrical failures; replace components (compressors, motors, fans, and controls); complete brazing, recovery, and charging.
• Drive preventive maintenance at scale: inspections, lubrication, filter and coil service, refrigerant verification, and performance monitoring.
• Capture precise work histories in a CMMS and validate operation within OEM specifications.
• Trace electrical issues across motors, contactors, relays, and 120V–480V distribution using schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Configure BAS and digital controls—thermostats, VFDs, and panels—to achieve efficient sequences of operation.
• Service walk-in coolers, freezers, and process cooling while following EPA refrigerant handling, recovery, and recycling practices.
• Assess asset health, propose repair/replace and energy-efficiency options, and manage parts inventory.
• Champion safety: OSHA compliance, lockout/tagout, EPA Section 608, and proper PPE use.
• Interpret technical literature, sequences, and spec sheets to troubleshoot and complete installs.

What You Bring

Required

• EPA Section 608 Universal certification.
• 3–5 years in commercial/industrial HVAC.
• Strong electro-mechanical diagnostic ability.
• Safe, proficient use of tools and test equipment.
• Understanding of power distribution, lighting, controls, and related electrical systems.
• Proven capability to identify root cause of electrical failures in HVAC.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Independence and excellent prioritization skills.

Preferred

• 3–5 years of industrial electrical background.
• State HVAC contractor or journeyman license.
• BAS platform familiarity (Trane, Carrier, Johnson Controls, Honeywell).
• Boiler operator credential.
• Electrical journeyman or master license.
• Experience in manufacturing/warehouse operations.
• Forklift and aerial lift certifications.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30.
• NATE certification.
