Travel RN Job Details – Asheville, NC

• Location: Asheville, NC
• Unit: Interventional Radiology Nursing (Radiology Department)
• Assignment Type: Travel RN (locum tenens)
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 09/22/2025 – End: 12/22/2025)
• Shift: 12 Hour Nights
• Hours per Week: 36
• Scheduling: Night shifts; on-call 4-5 weekday nights per 6-week schedule and every 10-11th weekend
• Patient Ratios: 3-4:1 pre/post; 1:1 intraprocedural
• Support Staff: CNA support in pre/post areas
• EMR: Cerner
• Dress Code: Green hospital-issued scrubs
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2200 - $2260 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (North Carolina or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU or Emergency Department nursing experience required
• Previous Interventional Radiology (IR) nursing experience preferred
• Moderate sedation experience preferred
• Certifications: ACLS and PALS required
• Critical care and/or procedural nursing experience highly desired

Interventional Radiology RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology, invasive CT, and invasive ultrasound procedures
• Monitor and manage patients before and after procedures, maintaining optimal patient ratios
• Administer moderate sedation and assess patient responses during procedures
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including CNAs and unit secretaries
• Operate IV pumps, specialty beds, bedside monitors, and telemetry equipment
• Document all patient care activities in Cerner EMR system
• Participate in Code Trauma and Code Stroke programs at a Comprehensive Stroke Center
• Demonstrate advanced clinical skills in caring for cardiac and vascular patients, including those with IVDA, chest tubes, and cerebrovascular accidents (CVA)
