We are looking for a skilled Controller to oversee financial operations and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting processes. This leadership role requires strong financial expertise and effective management capabilities, as you will be responsible for supervising staff and collaborating with department heads. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to problem-solving and demonstrate exceptional organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities:• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Perform account reconciliations and coordinate financial reviews to maintain strong internal controls.
• Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable operations, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
• Lead and support HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and payroll processes.
• Manage relationships with vendor partners for administrative, IT, and HR services.
• Develop and implement effective financial policies and procedures to optimize operations.
• Monitor insurance renewals and ensure proper coverage for organizational needs.
• Collaborate with department heads to align financial strategies with organizational goals.
• Provide leadership and guidance to accounting staff, fostering growth and development.
• Ensure accurate work-in-progress (WIP) tracking and reporting for project management purposes.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Controller, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities to handle complex financial tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across departments.
• Previous experience in industrial services with sales ranging from $20-$50 million.
• Proficiency in financial reconciliation, month-end close processes, and balance sheet account management.
• Expertise in bank reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with work-in-progress (WIP) tracking and reporting.
