Job Description
The Lead supports daily manufacturing operations and helps ensure products meet production, quality, and customer requirements. This position provides day-to-day guidance to production associates, assists with training, and troubleshoots production issues. The Lead also performs quality inspections, supports continuous improvement efforts, and promotes safe, efficient, and standardized work practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily production activities and provide guidance to production associates.
- Train and mentor associates, complete training documentation, and support cross-training.
- Troubleshoot production issues and communicate customer specifications, packaging, and quality requirements.
- Perform first-article and other required inspections, identify quality concerns, and help control nonconforming materials.
- Support corrective actions, continuous improvement efforts, safety procedures, and production duties as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous manufacturing or machine-operating experience preferred.
- One to two years of experience as a lead or in a developing lead role preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and measure accurately with a ruler to within 1/16 inch.
- Basic math, calculator, communication, and quality-assurance skills.
Preferred Skills
- ERP or MRP experience
- Experience calculating linear and square footage and working with fractions
- Ability to read a ruler within 1/16 inch accurately

Physical Requirements
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements.
- Regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds, with or without material-handling equipment.
- Work around noise, dust, temperature variations, machinery, and required personal protective equipment.

The base pay range for this position is $20.00 excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity.
