PRN Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Clayton Endoscopy Center – Clayton, NC
Position Type: PRN / As‑Needed
About the Role
Clayton Endoscopy Center is seeking a PRN Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) to support safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care throughout the endoscopy process. This is an excellent opportunity for nurses seeking flexible, as‑needed work in a focused procedural environment.
What You’ll Do
- Provide nursing care throughout the endoscopy process, from patient preparation through post‑procedure monitoring
- Support patient care activities in the procedure room and collaborate with physicians and the care team
- Verify patient identity and procedure using approved safety and time‑out protocols
- Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, instruments, and supplies based on patient and procedure needs
- Assist with safe patient positioning and continuous monitoring during procedures
- Administer medications per physician orders
- Accurately document patient care and procedural details in accordance with policy
- Handle, label, and log tissue specimens according to established procedures
- Ensure instruments and supplies meet high‑level disinfection and sterilization standards
- Support efficient room turnover and appropriate use of supplies
- Provide patient education, comfort, and reassurance while maintaining privacy and dignity
- Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Prior experience in endoscopy, GI, procedural, surgical, or perioperative nursing preferred
