Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Security Operations Center Operator in Maiden, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Dispatch Officer at a leading tech and/or media campus, where you will monitor systems, manage inbound calls, and coordinate responses to security-related events. You will support officers in the field, document activity, and communicate clearly with client teams while using modern tools. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures, policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology and media campus environment.
- Operate the dispatch function by monitoring alarms, cameras, access control, and radio traffic, then prioritizing calls for service and coordinating officer response per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting actions taken and escalating notifications to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
- Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, and shift activity documentation using required systems, including tracking keys, badges, and other site-issued assets.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, checking doors, gates, loading areas, and restricted locations, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Military/Security Experience OR a College Degree.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
