Position Title: Sales Application Engineer
Salary: $115,000-120,000 per year
Hours: 40 hours per week

What You’ll Be Doing
Drive demand by understanding customers’ needs and influencing designs and actively collaborating with Sales Development and Channel Sales Managers; assist Sales Development and Channel Sales to review RFQs, RFIs to architect or recommend a solution for the customer and expand the Danfoss scope of supply; front line business development, fueling growth at primarily new large and strategic important Industrial customers (SI’s, End Users, EPC’s & OEM’s) within the assigned region, territory or set of customers; plan and execute activities around Industry specific value propositions including configuration of drives systems, supporting customer's projects; ensure bi-directional information flow between Sales and Product Management, for the development of competitive products and solutions; support the launch of new products & features; develop and deliver solutions to customers with Product Management and Development teams; build and share industry/application knowledge, and best practices within the organization by educating/training the team, partners, and customers; collaborate with regional & global team of application engineers; demonstrate select vertical expertise – talk the customer’s talk to build trust and confidence; engage with customers to understand their technical requirements, challenges, and goals; analyze customer specifications and constraints to propose suitable solutions; having an in-depth understanding of the company's products or services, including their features, functionalities, and capabilities; support Center of Excellence and Business Incubator programs, collaborate with field information, proof of concept and by communicating and ensuring customer needs are met. 70% domestic travel.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Control/Automation or Electrical Engineering
- 3 years experience with front-line selling or supporting sales development of Variable Frequency Drives to End Users, OEMs, and Integrators in the Industrial Automation and Electrical Equipment space.
- Must be in Southeast United States
