Hydraulic Engineer
Trueline is seeking a Senior Civil/Hydraulic Engineer to join their team in North Carolina. This exciting role offers the opportunity to lead and develop a new civil/hydraulic engineering unit within a dynamic and rapidly growing company.
What You'll Do as the Senior Civil/Hydraulic Engineer:
- Spearhead the implementation and leadership of the civil/hydraulic engineering unit
- Design bridge, trail, and roadway systems, as well as develop grading plans
- Conduct hydrology and hydraulic studies for FEMA
- Prepare and submit FEMA CLOMR and LOMR documentation
- Collaborate with leadership and design teams to expand service offerings
- Contribute to projects for state DOTs, municipal agencies, and commercial/residential clients
Must-Haves as the Senior Civil/Hydraulic Engineer:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Civil/Hydraulic Engineering
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in relevant software such as GEOPAK, Open Roads, or HEC RAS
Nice-To-Haves as the Senior Civil/Hydraulic Engineer:
- Active Professional Engineering license
- Experience with FEMA studies and documentation
- Knowledge of state DOT and municipal agency requirements
- Background in commercial and residential engineering projects
- Leadership experience in engineering teams
