Position Overview
Our client is hiring CDL-A drivers for a dedicated big-box retail condo fleet with all loads starting in Lake City, Florida. Freight on this fleet is dry van retail, no-touch, preloaded, running Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina and South Carolina.
Home time is weekly, which makes this a strong fit for drivers who want a predictable routine and a consistent paycheck rather than long, open-ended stretches on the road. Average earnings on this account run $1,236 per week, approximately $64,272 annualized.
Key Responsibilities
You will operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely and legally at all times, completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, monitoring your hours of service, and keeping your logs accurate and current in accordance with federal regulations and company policy.
You will transport freight on schedule across Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina and South Carolina, following assigned routes, planning fuel and rest stops sensibly, and communicating proactively with your fleet manager when weather, traffic, or a customer delay puts a delivery window at risk.
Freight is no-touch and preloaded — drivers hook and go.
This is a solo run on a settled lane structure.
You will verify load counts, seals, and paperwork at pickup and delivery, secure freight correctly for transit, and complete bills of lading and delivery documentation accurately so the customer's records and yours agree.
You will represent our client professionally at every customer location, maintain the condition and cleanliness of your assigned equipment, and report mechanical issues promptly so they are addressed before they become a breakdown.
Requirements
A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License is required, along with a minimum of 3 months of verifiable CDL-A driving experience. You must meet all Department of Transportation qualification requirements and hold a current DOT medical certification.
An acceptable motor vehicle record and safety history are required. You must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and comply with all federal testing requirements throughout your employment.
Hiring within 75 miles of Raleigh, Apex, Wake Forest and Charlotte, NC. Drivers may park at a secure location approved by the account manager.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior dedicated account experience is preferred, particularly on fleets with consistent, repeating routes where familiarity with the lane and the customer builds real efficiency.
A clean safety record, consistent on-time performance, and a track record of steady tenure with previous carriers all strengthen an application. Drivers who communicate well with dispatch, handle customer contact professionally, and take care of their equipment tend to do well on dedicated accounts like this one.
Compensation and Benefits
Average earnings on this account are $1,236 per week, approximately $64,272 annualized. Pay is made up of: Cents-per-mile.
Home time: Home Weekly. Home weekly. Most loads dispatch between 20:00 and 03:00 and deliver between 04:00 and 12:00, so this is a night-running fleet.
Equipment: top-of-the-line automatic transmission equipment. There are currently 5 openings on this fleet.
