Student Care Representative, Continuing Education
- High School Diploma
- Three (3) years customer service and cashiering experience
- Computer and data literacy
- Aptitude to learn and train others in new software and registration systems.
- Associate’s Degree
- Bilingual candidate preferred, English/Spanish
- Five (5) years customer service and cashiering experience
- Attend specialized training activities that enhance job performance.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
- Maintain accurate information about course/program descriptions.
- Identify course/program prerequisites, requirements, and expected outcomes.
- Ensure that accurate information about registration procedures and courses/programs is communicated to potential and existing students.
- Use effective two-way communication skills to share course/program information with prospective students and to help them select appropriate courses/programs.
- Consistently provide accurate responses to all customer inquiries via various digital channels and in-person.
- Refer prospective students to the appropriate departments for assistance with educaitonal planning and career charting.
- Assist in implementation of new registration systems and training of colleagues.
- Input and continuous improvement in data management of online registration systems.
- Participate in internal and external student recruitment activities.
- Maintain positive communication skills using customer focused written and verbal communications, including ability to de-escalate.
- Complete registration of customers into all types of Continuing Education courses.
- Complete internal tasks related to Continuing Education programs including processing course drops, transfers, and cancelations.
- Ensure compliance with all system office and college internal policies, procedures, and processes.
- Staff front desk on occasion and as needed, distribute and receive keys, packets, and documents to and from instructors.
