Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Pipefitter to join our team in Lenoir, NC. The ideal candidate will be skilled in assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems used in industrial and commercial facilities. These systems may carry water, steam, chemicals, and other fluids. This position requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints, a solid understanding of piping specifications, and strict adherence to safety protocols.

Qualified applicants will have hands-on experience working with a variety of piping materials—including carbon steel, stainless steel, and PVC—and be proficient with tools such as pipe threaders, groovers, and welding equipment. This is a physically demanding role requiring stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, construction-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• · Install piping systems including chilled water, hot water, steam, condensate, and other mechanical piping
• · Interpret and work from blueprints, specifications, and submittals
• · Fabricate and install pipe supports and spool copper lines
• · Perform rough-ins, set fixtures, and install roof drains
• · Operate necessary equipment safely and in compliance with guidelines
• · Supervise and guide plumbing helpers when needed
• · Cap, test, and repair plumbing systems as required
• · Troubleshoot piping issues and coordinate with other trades
• · Maintain professional conduct and adherence to all safety procedures
• · Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• · Minimum of 5 years of pipefitting experience
• · Must supply own hand tools appropriate for pipefitting work
• · Proficient in using pipefitter tools and power equipment
• · Strong knowledge of pipe fabrication methods and materials.
• · Understanding of various pipe types, valves, and fittings, and their system functions
• · Familiar with relevant codes, safety regulations, and occupational hazards
• · Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
• · Willingness to work 40+ hours per week
• · Ability to work independently or under supervision as required
• · Rigging experience is a plus
• · Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented
• · Comfortable working in varied temperature environments and high noise levels (90+ decibels)

Compensation & Benefits

• · Hourly Rate: $30/hour
• · Weekly Pay
• · Per Diem: $130/day
