This position will be based at the BorgWarner Arden facility in Western North Carolina and will transition to a new facility in Hendersonville, NC.

The GL Accountant (Industrial Solutions) will make significant contributions in general accounting requirements and ad hoc reporting for the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform month‑end close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement reviews

• Support general ledger maintenance

• Understand SAP business processes and downstream impacts

• Support treasury topics such as bank reconciliations, statements intercompany netting, expenses and cash forecasting

• Maintenance and reporting of Fixed Asset Register

• Support with Accounts Payable and Receivables processes

• Support internal audit and ICFR activities, coordinating with external auditors and headquarters

• Prepare routine and ad hoc financial reports with analysis

• Contribute to continuous improvement and assist in implementation of process and system enhancements

• Maintain monthly close timelines and support all month‑end closes

• Assist in providing internal financial information and customer support

• Uphold confidentiality, safety policies, and core organizational values. Perform additional duties as assigned and adapt to organizational changes, including site consolidation

What We’re Looking For

Education /Experience Qualifications:

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline

• 2+ years of accounting experience is preferred

• Previous Manufacturing experience preferred

• Proficiency with Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is required

• Must have the ability to process significant amounts of data entry in a timely and accurate manner

• SAP and HFM experience preferred
