You move from line to line, verifying that the first-piece off a setup meets spec, running visual, mechanical, and functional checks with precision tools, and capturing every data point with care. By the time the sun rises, you’ve helped the team solve problems at the source, documented what matters, and ensured our customers receive safe, reliable, and compliant products.
What You’ll Handle- Evaluate in-process and completed goods against work instructions, drawings, and quality standards.
- Perform and sign off on first-article/first-piece inspections at startup and changeover.
- Execute visual, mechanical, and functional tests using gauges, fixtures, and measurement tools.
- Record inspection outcomes and related statistical data with high accuracy.
- Enter findings into the quality management system and assist in producing reports that trend yield and performance.
- Summarize results, flag deviations from standards, and clearly document nonconformances.
- Help write, refine, and update inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists.
- Analyze data to pinpoint root causes of defects; partner cross-functionally to implement corrective actions.
- Champion continuous improvement by recommending changes that boost quality, efficiency, and reliability.
- Conduct internal audits to confirm adherence to processes and procedures.
- Uphold compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety requirements.
- Escalate issues promptly to leadership with thorough documentation.
- Complete all quality records with precision, consistency, and timeliness.
- Follow safety, environmental, and quality protocols at all times.
- Maintain an organized, 5S-ready work area.
- Support additional tasks as assigned.
- Work Location: Onsite - Mooresville, North Carolina 28115
- Shift: 1, 9:45pm - 6:00am
- Pay Range: $19.00- $22 per hour (depending on skills and experience)
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a comparable quality, inspection, or testing role.
- Comfort working independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Solid, comprehensive working knowledge of quality practices and tools.
- Extended periods of standing.
- Frequent bending and stooping.
- Fine motor dexterity to handle small parts and components.
- Comfort working in noisy manufacturing environments.
Position Type: Full-Time/Non-Exempt (Hourly)
