Music Director
Riverside Baptist Church is seeking a part-time Music Director who is committed to glorifying God through Christ-centered, biblically-faithful music. The ideal candidate will be of like mind with our congregation, affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, and demonstrate a growing, personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. This individual will lead and develop a music ministry that supports worship through a blend of traditional hymns and biblically sound contemporary songs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct a traditional church choir, including weekly rehearsals and special presentations
- Lead congregational singing during worship services, incorporating both traditional hymns and contemporary worship music
- Coordinate and communicate regularly with pastoral staff and audio/video team regarding order of service and music selection
- Prepare and organize music for regular services, as well as special services (e.g., holidays, revivals, and other church events)
- Oversee and manage the music ministry budget responsibly
Qualifications and Essential Skills:
- A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and evidence of a growing relationship with Him
- Agreement with and adherence to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000
- Strong working knowledge of music, including vocal leadership and basic music direction
- Ability to lead both choir and congregation effectively
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Faithful attendance and active participation in the life of the church

- Maintains a lifestyle consistent with biblical standards
- Works collaboratively with church leadership to support the overall mission of the church
Time Commitment:
This is a part-time position, requiring weekly preparation, rehearsals, Sunday services, and additional time for special events throughout the year.
