Industrial Maintenance Electrician (Manufacturing)
When production kicks into gear, you’re the go-to expert who keeps complex machines and controls reliably online. As our Industrial Maintenance Electrician, you’ll blend hands-on electrical work with troubleshooting, testing, and collaboration to make sure our manufacturing equipment performs at its best.
Where and when you’ll work
- Work Location: Onsite - Mooresville, North Carolina 28115
- Shift: 2 (1:45 PM - 10:00 PM)
- Pay Range: $25-30 per hour (depending on skills and experience)
- Position Type: Full-Time/Non-Exempt
A day in the life
You arrive to a humming floor and jump straight into proactive maintenance checks. Mid-shift, you’re assembling or upgrading control panels, analyzing test results to zero in on a design issue, or partnering with engineers to solve a tricky developmental problem. By day’s end, you’ve documented your work, confirmed safety and quality standards, and queued up the next improvement.
What you’ll tackle
- Deliver technical support on electrical and engineering issues during build/installation and all subsequent phases.
- Assemble electrical/electronic systems and prototypes using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Work closely with engineers to identify root causes and resolve developmental challenges.
- Interpret and analyze test data to troubleshoot and correct design-related concerns.
- Create or revise diagrams and draft engineering specifications for experimental electronics.
- Install, repair, modify, and upgrade industrial control systems, including PLC-based controls.
- Assist with the design, evaluation, and repair of electrical equipment and components.
- Accurately complete all required documentation.
- Adhere to all Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures and policies.
- Take on other duties as assigned to support team goals.
What you bring
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a comparable maintenance or electrical role.
- Comfort working with minimal supervision and managing priorities independently.
- Proven ability to handle complex issues and drive them to resolution.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of relevant electrical/controls subject matter.
- Hands-on manufacturing support experience using common hand tools.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with intermediate proficiency in equipment maintenance, monitoring, and repair.
- Clear, accurate process documentation habits.
- Excellent manual dexterity; able to lift and move heavy items safely.
- Team-oriented, able to interpret work instructions and collaborate effectively.
Physical demands
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Required to stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to push/pull objects up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent bending and stooping required.
- Must have the dexterity to handle small objects.
- Must be able to work in noisy environments.
