Job Title: 3rd Shift Lathe Operator
Location: Cherryville, NC
Shift: 3rd Shift | 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Monday–Friday
Pay: Based on experience ($20.00+ per hour potential)
Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team on 3rd shift. This position is responsible for operating manual and/or CNC lathes to produce precision parts and components according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate lathe machines to perform turning, facing, threading, and other operations.
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules.
Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and quality using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
Perform regular maintenance on equipment and keep work area clean and organized.
Document production activity and report any machine malfunctions or quality issues to the supervisor.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Requirements:
Previous experience operating lathes (manual and/or CNC) in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring instruments.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Able to work overnight shift hours and occasional overtime as needed.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
