Telemetry RN Job Details

• Location: Hickory, NC 28601 – Top North Carolina healthcare destination with beautiful parks, cultural attractions, and a thriving downtown.
• Job Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Specialty: Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
• Facility Size: 294-bed acute care hospital
• Shift: 12-hour days (07:00 – 19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 9/15/2025 – End: 12/15/2025)
• Electronic Medical Record: Meditech EMR
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1710 - $1750

Telemetry Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state (required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Telemetry RN
• Proficiency with Meditech Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Eligible for travel nursing status (must reside at least 60 miles from Hickory, NC)

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients on the Telemetry unit, recognizing and responding to cardiac rhythms and patient condition changes
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions as prescribed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care
• Accurately document patient care and assessments using Meditech EMR
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health maintenance
• Float to other nursing units as needed to support facility operations
