Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Greensboro, NC 27401 (North Carolina travel nursing jobs)
• Facility Setting: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit
• Position Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/30/2025, End: 12/30/2025)
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00pm – 7:00am), every other weekend required
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1820-$1870
• Holiday Coverage: Must work 2 out of 4 holidays (Christmas Eve/Day, NYE/NYD)
• Float & Call: May be required based on census and unit needs

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (North Carolina or compact state, must be in hand at submission)
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Ability to pass EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Flexible scheduling and willingness to float to other units/campuses as needed
• No local candidates (must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Greensboro, NC)

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with diverse medical, surgical, and telemetry needs
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and EKG rhythms for patient safety
• Manage observation patients, respiratory conditions, diabetes (including new diagnoses and complications), surgical cases, palliative, hospice, and psychiatric observation patients
• Administer blood products and manage chest tubes, colostomies, feeding tubes, IVs, PICC lines, and wound care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV therapy, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Document all patient care activities using the EPIC EMR system
• Participate in unit orientation, compliance modules, and maintain readiness for float and call assignments
