Lead Analytics Consultant
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Analytics Consultant in Payment Fraud Analytics Team under Fraud Detection Services as part of Fraud & Claims Management (FCM)
In this role, you will:
- Lead complex initiatives including those that are cross-functional with broad impact and act as key participant in driving the company credit culture, desire, and business performance for Payment Risk
- Review and analyze complex strategies, programs and policies with a direct and significant impact on first party fraud and payment risk
- Receive direction from leaders
- Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Interact with internal and external customers
- Collaborate with business and risk oversight for developing effective first party fraud and payment risk strategies
- Interact with Audit, Legal, external agencies, and regulatory bodies on payment risk related topics
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in fraud risk and mitigation including strategies to reduce or mitigate loss and fraud exposures
- 4+ years of experience with SAS, SQL, Power BI, Python or other data management, reporting and query tools
- 4+ years of experience using data and analytics to inform and develop risk mitigation strategies
- 3+ years' experience designing and optimizing complex SQL queries involving table joins and correlated sub-queries on large scale data tables
- 6+ years of experience creating pivot tables and performing data analysis in Excel
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives
- Experience with strategy development and implementation
- Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
