Accounts Payable Specialist

D.H. Griffin Wrecking Co., Inc., is one of the leading demolition specialists in the country. Our Greensboro Corporate Accounting Department is accepting applications for an Accounts Payable Specialist.
As a team member of the Corporate Accounting Department, you will be required to ensure that accounts payable data is collected and processed effectively and in a timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process invoices from vendors based on reconciliation of invoices and statements
- Prepare remittance information to be mailed with the checks
- Reconciling vendor statements
- Communicate with vendors in reference to invoices to ensure accurate payment
- Process check requests for manual checks
- Familiarity with Job Costing is a plus but not required
- Ensure invoices are scanned and sent to the correct approval areas
- Familiarity with Job Costing is a plus but not required
- Support the Accounting Department in various job duties, as assigned.
- Two-year Associate Degree or equivalent preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable
- Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, multi-company environment
- All employees must be able to pass a background test and drug screening
