We're looking for an experienced and collaborative Senior I&C Project/Portfolio Manager in Charlotte, NC who will build strategic business partnerships and deliver Instrumentation and Control (I&C) and Automation Solutions Provider (ASP) integration projects with key municipal clients throughout the Southeast. As a Project/Portfolio Manager, you will need to understand client organizations and processes, develop and maintain consistent relationships at all organizational levels, and work to ensure that Jacobs is the consultant-of-choice for our clients. You will be expected to leverage your experience and interpersonal skills to work with Jacob's growing I&C/ASP team's performance and consistently deliver high-quality technical solutions for our clients. Jacobs has one of the largest water practices in the Southeast US with a team of over 300 determined, high-performing individuals working with most major metro-area clients on a vast array of projects. As part of this team, Jacobs has significantly grown its I&C and ASP team of design engineers and programmers to deliver complex solutions for our consulting and OMFS clients. This team consistently utilizes PLC Control systems, SCADA systems, and Human Machine Interface software to effectively design and implement instrumentation and control systems for large water/wastewater and industrial projects through several local offices and Jacobs' SCADA labs in Birmingham, AL, and Orlando, FL. Support, analyze, and maintain SCADA and OT applications, including event logging, domain controllers, traditional networks, hyperconverged networks, and AV software. The Senior I&C Project/Portfolio Manager will serve in four primary areas of our business: Project Management, delivering a diverse portfolio of water projects, Senior I&C/ASP Technologist providing technical expertise for local and regional projects, Client Service Leader for key water clients, and team leader for existing and future I&C engineers and programmers. Here's what you'll do * Lead and manage the I&C team and supporting disciplines (electrical, security, process, etc.) through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout consistent with established project delivery processes to meet the scope, schedule, budget, and other specified requirements stated in the contract. * Be accountable for successfully completing projects to the satisfaction of clients and key stakeholders while ensuring that Jacobs' business and policy expectations are met in the areas of health and safety, quality, financial, project delivery, and risk management. * Work alongside our regional sales leadership and Client Account Managers on business development activities that result in the award of new I&C design and implementation contracts and task orders. This typically includes client relationship development, project-specific positioning activities, teaming arrangements, proposal preparation, verbal presentations, and contract negotiations consistent with established business development processes. * Contribute to the development of a regional I&C/ASP Strategy that delivers leading-edge technology and SCADA/OT implementation solutions for our clients while actively diversifying and expanding our client base. * Demonstrate leadership by example with integrity and candor and in support of Jacobs' Culture of Caring work environment, including mentoring and supporting career development of more junior staff. * B.S. or M.S. degree in a related electrical engineering. * 20 years of progressively responsible Project Management experience with Water, Wastewater, and related water market projects and municipal consulting. * 10 years of experience in PLC and HMI control systems, CISSP, and/or Certification. * Strong understanding of project delivery tools and metrics and a proven history of leading project delivery teams to successfully meet client expectations. * Attributes that include excellent verbal and written communications, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis and technical problem-solving, and an effective organizational approach. * Proven track record in developing and maintaining strong client relationships that result in the creation and procurement of new and repeat consulting work. #LI-DL1 Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
