Job Responsibilities
Expense Distribution: Use Excel to compile large amounts of data to be allocated across hundreds of profit centers.
Data imports: Prepare extensive general journal entries and import into QuickBooks.
Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements and other accounts.
Reporting: Generate regular cost reports in QuickBooks.
Cost Analysis: Analyze and interpret financial data to identify that costs are allocated to proper cost centers.
General Ledger Analysis: Analyze general ledger records for accuracy and completeness and prepare year end working papers.
Journal Entries: Prepare and record general journal entries.
Support Role: Collaborate and assist with additional accounting tasks as needed.
Job Skills
Excel Proficiency: Expert-level Excel skills to include financial functions, data tables, pivot tables, and data filtering.
QuickBooks: Experience using QuickBooks Desk Top software to import large journal entries.
Accuracy: Ability to focus with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to details.
Conceptualize: Experience conceptualizing accounting solutions and preparation of correcting journal entries.
Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage tasks and present findings in a clear and ordered manner.
Data Extraction: Ability to extract data from text-based source materials.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
Expert-level Excel skills.
Ability to monitor and complete projects on time.
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Attention to detail in all tasks.
Procedure Adherence: Ability to follow detailed instructions while exercising independent judgment as necessary.
Self-Starter: Proactive with the ability to work independently and seek guidance when needed.
Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changing priorities and tasks.
Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidential information and meticulous records.
Effective communication via in-person meetings, phone, email, and document preparation.
Other Requirements
Physical Requirements: Ability to move and bend freely to access filing cabinets.
Office Location: This position is on site and based in our east Raleigh office.
Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check, including:
Criminal history check.
Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
Drug and alcohol test upon job offer and continued random testing thereafter.

Pay is dependent on experience and reviewable after 90 days of employment
