Position Overview
Radco Roofing is hiring an experienced Service Sales Representative in the Raleigh, NC region. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Sales and will be responsible for developing and maintaining service and repair sales activities in the geographic territory.
This position is focused on commercial roofing service opportunities within the geographic territory, including leak repairs, time-and-material service work, preventive maintenance programs, roof inspections, service agreements, and small projects / upfits. The Service Sales Representative is responsible for developing recurring customer relationships, identifying service opportunities, preparing and presenting proposals, and helping clients extend the life of their roofing assets.
The Service Sales Representative will work closely with the Territory Sales Manager in the same geographic territory. Together, these roles act as a team in servicing clients, with the Service Sales Representative focused primarily on service, maintenance, repairs, and smaller project needs and the Territory Sales Manager focused primarily on larger reroofing and capital project opportunities.
The position offers a competitive base salary plus an uncapped commission schedule. Car allowance and fuel card provided for work-based travel.
Key Responsibilities
Service Sales & Account Development
- Achieve established service sales goals while maintaining targeted margins.
- Maintain an active prospecting strategy to develop and sustain a consistent pipeline of service, repair, maintenance, and small project opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with building owners, property managers, facility managers, asset managers, consultants, and other commercial real estate decision-makers.
- Grow a strong base of recurring service customers within the assigned territory.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build trust and rapport with clients while consistently representing Radco Roofing in a professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and courteous manner.
- Recommend commercial roofing service solutions that align with the clients needs, roof conditions, budget expectations, and long-term maintenance goals.
- Educate clients on the benefits and long-term value of preventive maintenance programs, service agreements, regular inspections, and proactive roof management.
- Serve as a responsive point of contact for service customers and maintain regular communication with existing accounts.
Roof Evaluation & Service Opportunity Development
- Conduct roof inspections and surveys to evaluate roof conditions and identify recommended service, repair, or maintenance solutions.
- Develop detailed scope packages including roof maps, photographs, measurements, penetration locations, repair areas, access considerations, and other documentation necessary to support accurate pricing and service planning.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of commercial roofing systems, repair methods, maintenance practices, roof inspections, and service-related recommendations.
- Safely access rooftops, including carrying and climbing ladders, performing or coordinating roof cores when necessary, and thoroughly documenting roof conditions and measurements.
- Coordinate with service manager, service coordinator, technicians, estimating, and operations to confirm scope, pricing, scheduling, and customer expectations.
- Present service proposals, scope, pricing, timing, exclusions, and expectations clearly to the client.
Internal Coordination & Support
- Partner with the Territory Sales Manager to identify larger reroofing, restoration, or capital project opportunities that may develop from service relationships.
- Work closely with the Territory Sales Manager so customers receive a coordinated Radco experience across service, maintenance, repairs, and reroofing.
- Communicate effectively with clients, technicians, service leadership, estimating, operations, and management through strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Accurately document client interactions, activities, and opportunities in the CRM system.
- Support service leadership and field teams by clearly communicating urgency, access requirements, safety concerns, customer priorities, and scope details.
Qualifications and Skills
- Two or more years of hands-on commercial roofing experience, commercial roofing sales, estimating, facility services, construction sales, or related experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of commercial roofing systems such as TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, built-up roofing, metal roofing, coatings, and common repair methods preferred.
- Strong skills in relationship building, prospecting, customer service, presentation, problem solving, follow-up, and closing.
- Ability to inspect roof conditions, document service needs, and communicate practical repair and maintenance solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple customers, service requests, proposals, and follow-up items simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, email, and other standard business technology.
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel throughout the territory.
- Ability to safely climb ladders, access commercial roofs, and walk job sites as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelors degree preferred.
