Senior Accountant

Description Robert Half is working with a client in need of a senior accountant. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the company's accounting processes, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Responsibilities: + Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP. + Manage month-end and year-end close processes. + Analyze financial trends and provide insight to management for decision-making. + Reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies. + Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions. + Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals for annual audits and compliance reporting. + Develop and implement internal controls to optimize processes and reduce risks. + Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. + Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff to enhance team performance. + Stay updated on regulatory changes and maintain adherence to financial laws and standards. Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred. + Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience, ideally in a senior role. + Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards. + Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Excel. + Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. + Experience managing and mentoring teams is highly desirable. + Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. + Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and compliance reporting. + Industry experience in construction, healthcare, financial services, or real estate is a plus.
