Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 10.5 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: CPI, BLS Must-Have: Ability to work in stressful situations on fast-paced units. Critical thinking skills. Patience and compassion. Time management skills. Ability to manage aggressive patients. The children’s hospital within the facility provides specialized emergency care. The facility boasts a busy robotic surgery program and offers a range of advanced cardiovascular services. Candidates should be ready to embrace a rewarding and challenging role. Unit Details: Number of Beds: 23 Staffing: Day shift consists of RNs and Behavioral Health Technicians. Night shift also includes RNs and Behavioral Health Technicians. Patient Ratios: 5-8 patients per nurse. Typical Equipment: Vital sign machines, glucometers, IV supplies, oxygen, and EMR system. Ideal Candidate: A candidate who thrives under high-stress situations and enjoys a fast-paced environment would be ideal. Experience with diverse behavioral health populations is preferred. Familiarity with emergency responses to psychiatric emergencies is advantageous. The ideal person would manage stress well and prefer to steer clear of drama. Weekends are required, but there is no on-call duty. Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs or a white top with navy pants.
