Investigating Coordinator

Accentuate Staffing is seeking an Investigating Coordinator for a client in Raleigh, NC. This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of complaint cases—from initiation through resolution. The Investigating Coordinator will monitor case progress, maintain documentation, manage communications with complainants and licensees, and ensure cases move efficiently through the complaint process.

Responsibilities:

• Manage complaint cases from initiation to conclusion, including creating case files, gathering information, and preparing case correspondence.
• Research investigative files and compile documentation for the Board database to ensure accurate records of historical and current activity.
• Collaborate with the Administrative Investigations Manager, Office of Medical Director, Field Investigations, and Legal Staff on cases requiring additional review.
• Convert, review, and redact documents according to established protocols to ensure case management accessibility.
• Respond to requests for documentation from internal staff and Board members.
• Prepare committee and Board reports, review extracted data, and respond to related inquiries.
• Participate in monthly staff case meetings and bi-monthly Board meetings, including preparing materials, displaying reports, recording Board actions, and producing work notes for public reporting.
• Assign cases to appropriate departments following Board meetings.
• Provide guidance to the public on complaint submissions and to licensees on response procedures.

Requirements:

• Two-year or four-year college degree required.
• Minimum of two years of relevant work experience in a healthcare environment.
• Knowledge of medical records, billing, Medicare/Medicaid, and referral resources.
• Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and organizational ability.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively with individuals at all levels.
