Job Title: Production Associate

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret simple blueprints to verify assembly process and quality requirements.
• Take direction from a supervisor to understand assembly procedures and production goals.
• Follow assembly procedures to build parts using hands and small machinery.
• Explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers.
• Position, align, or adjust workpieces or parts to facilitate assembly.
• Clean parts using cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths.
• Pack finished parts for shipment, including labeling, bagging, and adding instruction information.
• Examine products to verify quality, including testing and resolving quality issues.
• Determine causes of quality issues and rework parts as necessary.

Essential Skills

• Experience in assembly and manufacturing.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and small machinery.
• Capability to lift 45 pounds and perform repeated physical tasks.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours a day.
• High attention-to-detail with strong vision and hearing.
• Working knowledge of the English language, both oral and written.

Work Environment

The work environment is a standard production and warehouse setting with a strong emphasis on safety and clear SOPs. The facility is clean, well-lit, and climate-controlled. Steel-toed shoes are required, and safety vests, glasses, and ear plugs are provided. Jewelry is not allowed, and long hair must be tied back.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Conover, NC.

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $18.50/hr.
