Senior Tax Accountant (Income Tax & Provision)

A global organization is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to support its income tax compliance and reporting function. This role offers exposure to both domestic and international tax matters, working closely with cross-functional finance teams and senior tax leadership.

Position Overview

The Senior Tax Analyst will be responsible for preparing U.S. income tax filings and supporting quarterly and annual tax provision processes in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements. This position will also provide exposure to international tax compliance and reporting, along with opportunities to contribute to tax planning and process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare U.S. federal and state income tax returns and calculate quarterly estimated tax payments
• Support tax provision processes, including current and deferred tax calculations and related balance sheet analysis
• Assist in modeling tax impacts related to forecasts, business transactions, and legislative changes
• Review and support international tax reporting and compliance activities in coordination with global finance teams
• Maintain and enhance tax compliance systems and processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency
• Conduct tax research on federal, state, and international tax matters
• Support tax audits, respond to notices, and assist with uncertain tax positions
• Contribute to special projects across tax compliance, accounting, and planning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3 years of experience in income tax compliance and/or tax accounting
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and income tax accounting principles (ASC 740)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams

Preferred Experience

• CPA and/or Master’s in Taxation or Accounting
• Background in public accounting
• Experience with tax software (e.g., ONESOURCE or similar tools)
• Exposure to financial reporting systems (e.g., HFM or comparable platforms)
• Experience with international tax compliance or reporting
