Lead Server

Location: Burnsville, NC

What You’ll Do

• Lead by Example: Model our Core Values of Heart of Hospitality, Lead with Integrity, A Promise to Freshness, and Teamwork every shift.
• Shift Leadership: Support the FOH team during service, helping keep flow smooth, solve guest issues, and maintain morale.
• Guest Experience: Anticipate guest needs, handle compliments and complaints with grace, and make sure every table feels seen and valued.
• Training & Mentoring: Coach and encourage other servers, reinforcing Pig & Grits’ service standards and Core Values.
• Dining Room Excellence: Keep the dining room running smoothly — checking ambiance, table setup, cleanliness, and overall flow.
• Communication: Serve as the link between FOH and BOH during shifts, ensuring timing, pacing, and guest needs are met.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 1–2 years of strong serving experience (leadership or trainer experience a plus).
• People Skills: Friendly, approachable, and calm under pressure — you know how to guide a team and create a great guest experience.
• Communication: Strong communicator who can give clear direction without being overbearing.
• Professionalism: Dependable, on time, and committed to upholding Pig & Grits’ high standards.
• Problem-Solver: Able to handle guest concerns or team challenges with poise and confidence.

Schedule:

Tuesday – Friday: 3:00 PM – Close

Saturday: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM – Close
