Diesel Mechanic /Technician

Role Overview
The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on truck and trailer equipment. This is a shop-based role with consistent work, strong processes, and access to training and technology.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Perform preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, differentials, and fuel systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and emissions-related issues
• Use diagnostic tools and company systems to document repairs
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Complete repairs efficiently with minimal supervision
• Participate in ongoing technical and factory training
• Support additional shop tasks as assigned
What We’re Looking For
• At least 3 years of hands-on diesel or truck maintenance experience
• Experience working on tractor-trailers or fleet vehicles
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Technical or vocational training preferred
• Experience diagnosing major components strongly preferred
• Familiarity with diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools
• CDL preferred or willingness to obtain CDL within 3 months
• Ability to obtain air brake certification if not already held
• Basic computer skills
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
• Reliable attendance and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Comfortable working in non-climate-controlled environments
Schedule and Work Environment

• Occasional travel within the local district for customer sites or training
