Soldering Technician

We are seeking a Wave Soldering Technician for a 1st Shift Career Opportunity in Hillsborough, NC. Do you have experience with soldering in an electronics environment? Responsibilities

Set up, configure, and operate the wave solder machine in accordance with approved work instructions, engineering specifications, and work orders. • Establish and verify critical process parameters, including: o Conveyor speed o Preheat temperature profiles. o Solder pot temperature. o Wave height and contact time. • Load, validate, and manage stored production profiles via the system interface (up to 100 profiles). • Adjust conveyor width (50–400 mm range) to accommodate varying PCB dimensions. • Operate and monitor dual-wave soldering processes (chip wave and main wave) to ensure optimal solder penetration and defect prevention (e.g., bridging, skips, icicles). • Configure and optimize spray fluxer parameters (flow rate, atomization pressure, spray pattern) to ensure uniform flux deposition and process consistency. • Execute controlled startup and shutdown procedures, including solder pot management and energy-saving standby modes.
