RN Job Details – Fayetteville, NC

• Assignment Type: Travel RN position
• Healthcare Setting: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) – Rehab Brain Surgery Unit
• Facility: Short-term acute care hospital, Level III Trauma Center
• Shift: Evening shift, 5x8-hour shifts (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM)
• Weekly Hours: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1870-$1920
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/22/2025, End: 12/22/2025)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Patient Ratios: Days/Nights: 6; Weekends: 8
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: All contracted hours guaranteed after 2 shift call-offs per assignment

RN Qualifications & Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent LTAC or acute inpatient rehab RN experience
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Must be able to work every other weekend
• Applicants must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus (locals not accepted)

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care to adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations in the LTAC Rehab Brain Surgery Unit
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement nursing interventions
• Manage patients with complex diagnoses, including CVA, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and post-craniotomy
• Administer medications, blood products, and manage central lines, ports, and feeding tubes
• Utilize assistive devices and specialty beds for safe patient mobilization and transfers
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, physical therapy, respiratory, pharmacy, social services)
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, rehabilitation, and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic EMR
• Follow infection prevention, isolation precautions, and safety protocols
• Float to similar nursing units as needed to support hospital operations
