• Location: Asheville, NC 28801 (North Carolina nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department (Level II Trauma Center)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12 Hour Nights (2:45PM – 3:15AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit Size: 101 beds
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 (medical), up to 7:1 (ED behavioral holds)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,530 - $1,640

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year as an Emergency Room RN
• Experience in Level II trauma centers, comprehensive stroke centers, or high-volume emergency departments (100,000+ visits/year) preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC certification within 90 days of hire
• Strong teamwork skills and flexibility to work in all areas of the ED
• Ability to coach and provide real-time feedback to healthcare staff
• Commitment to positive patient experience and respectful behavior (AIDET)

ER RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Perform advanced nursing procedures and respond to trauma and medical emergencies
• Utilize Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and document patient care in Cerner EMR system
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals including techs, unit clerks, and multidisciplinary teams
• Float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed
• Maintain accurate patient boards and ensure timely communication throughout patient visits
• Follow hospital policies, dress code (navy scrubs), and attendance standards
