Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week travel assignment in an acute care and outpatient rehabilitation setting in Spruce Pine, NC.

Details

• Day shift position, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Work spans two locations: a main inpatient campus and a Burnsville outpatient clinic
• 60-bed acute care facility with two outpatient clinics
• Rehabilitation team includes 3 PTs, 3 PTAs, 2 OTs, 1 COTA, and 1 SLP on day shift
• Patient caseload of 9–11 patients per day per FTE
• Procedures include therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, vestibular rehab, balance training, and gait training
• Available equipment includes PT modalities, a therapy pool, cardiovascular equipment, Biodex balance system, and a fitness center
• EMR: Cerner used in acute care; Nethealth Xfits (formerly ReDoc) used in outpatient
• Weekend rotation every 5th weekend; Saturday visits only for priority patients averaging 2–3 hours; no Sunday visits

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent PT experience required
• Both outpatient and acute care experience required
• Active NC PT license required (license required if applicable)
• Candidates must have active experience within the last 6 months in the role
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required if the candidate is from Florida or Missouri)

Additional Information

• Experience in orthopedics, sports medicine, spine, manual therapy, vestibular, vertigo, or stroke rehab is preferred
• Team-oriented and outgoing personality is a strong fit for this unit
• Acute care dress code: purple (eggplant) scrubs; outpatient dress code: business attire or polo with khakis
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
