Skills required:

o Vented patients go straight to the ICU, would rarely see BiPAP patients

o Comfortable managing gtts you would commonly see in the ICU—heparin, insulin, sometimes cardiac

o Limited use of BiPAP, primarily in post-operative settings

o Occasionally cares for adult patients based on unit needs

o Self-motivated, resourceful—asks for help if doesn't know the answer to something, team player, open bay unit so works in a “all hands on deck” mentality
