UNC Medical Center---Cardiothoracic ICU---The Cardiovascular and Thoracic Critical Care 40-bed unit is part of the UNC Center for Heart and Vascular Care. The primary surgical procedures include coronary artery bypass grafting, heart valve repair and replacements, heart transplants, lung transplants, LVAD, ECMO, aortic/thoracic aneurysm repairs, and complicated esophageal, thoracic and vascular surgeries.
