Market Executive - Multinational Corporations - Executive Director

The Multinational Corporations team is part of J.P. Morgan’s Commercial Bank within the Commercial and Specialized Industries group. In this role, you will maintain your own portfolio—typically smaller to account for management responsibilities—while leading a banking team. Your team will generally include six to eight bankers, with indirect oversight of underwriting staff, a sales/marketing assistant, a treasury sales officer, and client service professionals. You will be responsible for hiring and directing team members in their business development efforts to grow and retain profitable banking relationships within the Commercial & Specialized Industries, with a focus on Multinational Corporations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Champion a culture of innovation and a customer centric mindset
  • Stay up to date with industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation or strategic partnerships
  • Find ways to further new client acquisition in partnership with the bankers
  • Embrace a culture of respect, diversity and inclusion
  • Find ways to drive efficiency with existing technical infrastructure through automation while embracing the innovative opportunities offered by new technologies
  • This role requires up to 40% travel to client sites, regional offices, and industry events.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Minimum of ten years account relationship management experience with a focus on business relationships
  • Understanding of Commercial Banking products and services with knowledge of the region
  • Ability to mobilize internal networks and resources
  • Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals; proven top individual contributor
  • Management experience in a Commercial Bank setting, specifically leading a commercial banking sales team with proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills; able to effectively communicate clearly and concisely
  • Creative solution and problem solving abilities and excellent business judgment with the ability to multitask

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree and formal credit training preferred
  • Strong technology experience; digital background preferred
  • Excellent organizational, influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Self-directed, proactive, and creative: use sound judgment and navigates ambiguity to get things done
