Sylvester & Cockrum is looking for a Commercial HVAC Sales Executive to help expand our growing preventative maintenance and commercial service business throughout the Southeast.
This is an opportunity to join one of the region’s most respected commercial mechanical contractors, representing a company with over 40 years of experience delivering innovative commercial HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and energy solutions. As part of our growing team, you’ll work alongside experienced service professionals while helping customers improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and lower operating costs through customized maintenance programs and service solutions.

What You’ll Do

As a Commercial HVAC Sales Executive, your primary responsibility is developing new commercial business while growing recurring preventative maintenance revenue.

You’ll work directly with facility managers, property managers, building owners, contractors, and decision-makers to provide customized maintenance solutions that improve equipment performance and reduce long-term operating costs.


Responsibilities include:

  • Prospect and develop new commercial customers through networking, cold calling, referrals, and relationship building
  • Generate new preventative maintenance agreement opportunities
  • Meet with customers to evaluate HVAC equipment and service needs
  • Prepare estimates and proposals for commercial HVAC preventative maintenance agreements
  • Develop quotes for commercial HVAC repair and service projects
  • Build long-term relationships with property managers, facility managers, engineers, and business owners
  • Identify opportunities for additional repair, retrofit, and capital improvement projects
  • Present proposals and negotiate service agreements
  • Coordinate with operations and service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Maintain accurate CRM and sales activity records
  • Travel throughout your assigned territory to meet customers and prospects
Who We’re Looking For

We’re searching for someone who enjoys winning business and creating opportunities—not waiting for them.

The ideal candidate has a true hunter mentality, is self-motivated, and enjoys building relationships that lead to long-term partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of outside B2B sales experience preferred
  • Commercial HVAC, mechanical, construction, industrial, or facilities services sales experience strongly preferred
  • Experience selling preventative maintenance agreements or service contracts is a plus
  • Proven ability to generate new business and close sales
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with operations and service teams
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Willingness to travel throughout assigned territory
