Job Summary:
The Director of Sales Training will lead the design and delivery of all technology training for Compass Group’s national sales team. This role is responsible for driving adoption and effectiveness across core sales technologies such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, OneStop, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM. The focus is on prospecting, pipeline generation, and early-stage client engagement.
This leader will play a key role in our ongoing transformation, where sales technology is no longer just a tool but a teammate, and AI is at the core. As we redesign how we train, prospect, and measure success, this position will support Inside Sellers (SDR/BDRs), Associate Sellers, Regional Sales Directors, and other client-facing teams with tailored, actionable training that drives results and adoption.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver training programs focused on technology adoption at every stage of the sales process, from initial outreach through close and follow-up.
- Serve as a liaison to the national technology team, owning the training and enablement of AI tools and emerging technologies. Ensure sellers understand how to integrate these solutions into daily workflows to improve efficiency and insight.
- Own the documentation, training, and reinforcement of best practices across outbound prospecting tools, CRM utilization, contact enrichment, and overall tech stack integration.
- Lead onboarding of tech and continuous learning for new hires through virtual training, one-on-one coaching, and in-person facilitation (primarily in Charlotte with periodic travel as needed).
- Collaborate with Sales Support departments, Sales Managers, Sellers, and Marketing to align training with go-to-market campaigns, account prioritization strategies, and seller workflows.
- Build engaging and scalable learning experiences that blend in-the-room sessions, on-the-job application, and peer-based knowledge sharing.
- Define clear performance metrics and assess training effectiveness using adoption data, sales outcomes, and feedback from stakeholders.
- Partner with leaders and Sales Support to document and memorialize core processes, ensuring clarity, consistency, and ease of adoption.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning by developing repeatable systems, just-in-time resources, and self-service tools that support day-to-day selling.
- Influence how technology is positioned and used across the organization by helping sellers see it as a teammate that enhances client engagement and sales productivity.
- Be skilled in adoption and change management practices.
- Run ROI on tech investments for the organization as needed.
Qualificaitons:
- Self-starter who has a reliability pursuit of 1% better.
- 5 or more years in sales enablement, SDR/BDR leadership, or sales training
- Strong knowledge of AI, CRM systems, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and outbound sales tools
- Experience training diverse sales roles, from inside sellers to field leaders
- Skilled facilitator in both virtual and in-person environments
- Proven ability to build repeatable programs and scale training across large organizations
- Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills
- Passion for data-driven improvement and modern learning approaches
